MagTek Imager
Magtek’s new check imager uses its patent-pending reading technology, ER, which allows for automated confirmation of MICR data. When ER is enabled, MICR Image compares the results of multiple MICR reads, deeming the data accurate when all reads match, or reporting an error to the application when there is a mismatch. Once the device has captured the needed information, the Verifone CR 1000i uses intelligent imaging algorithms to reduce the size of the check image data, optimizing the record size for storage and transmission. Transferring images to the host archive is a snap via the internal 56-Kbps modem, which can be set to automatically transmit images at a prescribed time each day.
